About Me.

I found code in 2003, tearing apart MySpace and Xanga layouts line by line to see what would break. That instinct to pull the thing apart, understand it, and make it better has carried through everything since.

Leading is the through-line of my career. I supervised intelligence operations in the Marine Corps and mentored officers in law enforcement before I ever led an engineering team. Today I'm a project lead on a large DoD program, setting technical direction for a team of six, sequencing releases, and negotiating scope directly with government stakeholders.

I work where product and engineering meet: owning backlogs and ceremonies as scrum master and product owner, translating ambiguous requirements into delivery plans, and holding the line on quality, accessibility, and security while we ship. I still make a point of learning something new every day.

When I'm not working, I enjoy going to the gym, reading, and traveling.

  1. Jan 2026 – Present

    Senior Full-Stack Developer / Project Lead

    DoD Program

    • Project lead for delivery of a net-new capability module within a large DoD enterprise platform, owning scope, technical direction, and sprint execution for a team of 6.
    • Set technical direction across React, Node.js, and PostgreSQL, partnering with architects to keep implementation aligned to enterprise standards and improve system reliability.
    • Direct the modernization of existing capability areas, sequencing work across releases and negotiating scope with government stakeholders and product owners.
    • Coordinate at program scale within SAFe Agile, managing cross-team dependencies and adapting delivery plans to evolving requirements from multiple customers.

  2. Mar 2024 – Jan 2026

    Senior Web Developer / Frontend Technical Lead

    DoD Program

    • Led a team of four engineers delivering the UI modernization of a DoD capability area, owning UI architecture, component standards, and frontend technical direction.
    • Led delivery of a new capability module end to end, from requirements through deployment, extending an existing enterprise platform with a new set of user-facing functionality.
    • Built a reusable frontend component library that cut new-feature implementation time and accelerated engineer onboarding.
    • Translated system and business requirements into delivery plans and accessible interfaces alongside QA, product, and architecture counterparts.

  3. Dec 2022 – Mar 2024

    Web Developer / Lead Frontend Engineer

    DoD Program

    • Led an eight-person frontend and backend team across three concurrent modernization projects delivering on schedule and exceeding client requirements.
    • Served as lead developer, scrum master, and product owner for the team, owning the backlog, ceremonies, and sprint commitments while the program manager handled administrative functions.
    • Presented project status and design direction directly to the government client, including a full application redesign proposal.
